Happy CNY

So it's the 2012 Chinese New Year. After a really long day today, I'm finally sitting down in front of my laptop writing this. I know it's been a while since I've written any blog post. That's because I didn't have any urge to blog about anything.

Well for my family, Lunar Eclipse was always different for me and my family in the sense that the things that my family actually do. Still recall the reunion dinner that everyone has together with their own family? For mine, we do that during lunch time. And instead for dinner, we have reunion dinner with relatives at some restaurant. After the dinner, we'd go somewhere just to chill and have a drink. As for tonight, it was going to my relatives house around Taman Midah.

Today, I reached home only to realize that I missed 30 minutes of awesome football between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates stadium. Nevertheless, it was a match worth watching. Oh! And another regret of the night was not being able to watch the EPL match between Man City and Tottenham.

Last thing, it was a great way to start of the CNY week and I'm definitely looking forward for the week. Here I am, eating bak kwa, #likeaboss haha!

4 more weeks?

So in a blink of the eye, I'm reaching week 8 of my first year engineering course. 4 more weeks to the end of the second semester. SO FAST. I can't wait for the 3 months break starting the end of this year.

Just sat for my mid term test and electrical systems screwed everything up for me. I think the maximum that I can score will probably be around 4/8. And that's 50% ONLY! I've had my materials mid-semester exam as well and it wasn't that bad as compared to electricals. At least I could answer the questions. To top it all up, I have MATLAB to do during all this shit. Seriously, that's worse than anything you can ask for. Who stares at a lab question for approximately 1-2 hours and you totally have no idea of what to do. Until you see your friend's programme and say ,'That's it?' I took 3 hours to solve a question on quadratic equation lol, what a joke. Lastly, I'm sure having replacement classes on a Saturday would be a *perfect* way to end the week.

On a different note, I've had volleyball yesterday after quite some time. What a way to release off all the stress suffered throughout the whole week. And tomorrow after the electrical tutorial, we'll be playing basketball so to any Monashians who're interested to join us, do join us. We're friendly people.

So I guess that's all for now. Till the next time I'm free ^^

Possibly the Most Productive Day*

And so, yesterday night I had some guest over for a stayover. Apparently she didn't want to trouble other people by staying over in her friend's house since she'll be super late. So she decided to trouble me, cause we're playing volleyball together.

Anyway, the 'she' that I was referring to, ongweiling. Good luck in your new life over in Chicago. For your information, she's a JPA scholar furthering her studies in usa next month. Got to know her through volleyball when I was doing my Pre-U course in Taylor's.

The next morning, I sent her to her bf's house and I came home. For some reasons, I felt the urge to do some housework and also washing the car. Feeling satisfied, I crashed to my bed for a couple of hours before a text woke me up.

The next thing I realise, I'm here blogging.
There goes the most productive day...

End of the Break.

Since my semester break started almost 1 month back, I haven't really experience the warmth of my family. But towards the end of my semester break, I finally feel it. Decided to wake up super early in the morning. At first, I was quite reluctant as I've been sleeping until afternoon all the while since my semester break started. Something told me that I should, and so I did. So my whole family started off by waking up to send my sister to college. Next, the 3 of us head back to our old house to send my car for a service. It's been a while since I serviced the car, so even the guy at the workshop shook his head when he started the engine.

Headed to a park nearby Bukit Jalil for a morning walk. I decided to tag along since my stamina sucks shit. Let me digress away from this, I realised this only the other day when I got probably the last placing in the JogForHope run. And mind you, it's ONLY a 6km run. It was really embarrasing and I wouldn't want to repeat that again. As expected, I punctured during the morning walk at Bukit Jalil and my dad was laughing at me all the way. It was at this moment that I felt the warmth of the family.

A lot of things were running through my mind, and the thing that really struck me was probably because I don't really meet up with them as much as I should. It was also at this moment I had the thought, I should spend more time with my family because they're the one's who're closest to us. They're the one's that will help us whenever we're in need of any help. I still remember at that very young age, the desire to tag along my friends wherever they go. Now, all I want is to stay at home most of the time. Seriously, nothing beats the comfort at home.

So after the morning walk, I decided to take a nap, but it was more of a sleep, rather than a nap. Don't blame me, it was still my normal sleeping time.

All in all, the thing that I treasured a lot today was family love. Because it's really hard to go on in life without that.

I'm really happy to be back hanging out today. To be honest, it's very suffering to be stuck at home because of the bersih 2.0 rally. Nevertheless, this week I'll probably be playing sports whole week. And I would love to hike up Mount Nuang again with my University friends before the new sem restarts. Talking about the new semester. I just got back my sem1 results on sunday and I'm satisfied with it. And I made a promise to myself that I will study right from the very start because of past experiences.

Quarantine?

I'll be stuck at home the next few days due to the Bersih 2.0 demonstration. Not only on a saturday, but also on Friday and Sunday. Yup, paranoid parents. But heck, it's for the safety of our family and I totally understand it. Well if some of you out there are outstation, congrats you'll probably be safe from whatever that's gonna happen tomorrow.

So, the roadblocks are starting tonight and the news is all over facebook and news etc etc. The thing I wonder most is how are people gonna get to skytrex on that saturday. Azlan Idrus has already posted a comment saying that he's just trying to run his little business and now, he's making a loss for saturday because of the roadblocks. Oh, if you guys are wondering who's Azlan Idrus, he's one of the owners of skytrex :)

Malaysian Volleyball League is starting tomorrow, check the facebook event. And 1 of my friend will be participating in it, so all the best to her cause I know how much volleyball means to her. Well, she's 1 heck of a player and I'm sure she'll  get lots and lots of experience from this tournament. :)

'Well, it seems to me that the best relationships - the ones that last - are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with'
